Scope and Contents: Men's League, established in 1937 (as a successor to Men's House Council, 1922, and Mens Student Government Association, 1923-27), was the student governance system of the West Side of the Carleton Campus. The League established and enforced social rules (including the notorious "Freshmen Rules"), and its officers were the liason between the Dean of Men and the male students. The papers are incomplete, but contain a fairly substantial amount of minutes, and some interesting material on "open houses."
